They Fixed The Elevator

RE: They Fixed The Elevator
I will miss it. I think they did a pretty good job of tying it all up with a nice ribbon of closure. At least I don't feel too cheated like so many other "last shows" have made me feel. Although, seriously---even if Sheldon's mother wouldn't get on a plane to see him get the Nobel prize I still really did expect Leonard's mother to. She always liked Sheldon better than Leonard and could have really rubbed it in.

And yes, I knew EXACTLY what this thread was just by the title.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

I thought it was great the first 3 years and remained good for another 2-3 years. Then it became a mostly boring soap opera.

At its core, this show was about four male nerds interacting with a foil - a hot, normal female. That formula worked well - at least if you were a male nerd who genuinely didn't understand what made normal females (or even high-IQ females) tick. While intellectually inferior, Penny represented what each of these guys (excluding Sheldon) desperately wanted but could realistically never have.

Eventually, it became a show highlighting the normal, boring relationships of real people. Ho-hum. The characters stopped being special. Boring.

At least, that's my take on it.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Don't know why I stopped.

Did Amy and Sheldon ever get around to getting it on?

Yes, years ago. Not frequently, but there was a "first time" episode for them. They got married too.

Lol...That must have been a sight to see.

I'll have to find that episode.

The kids and I used to watch The Big Bang Theory on syndication. We enjoyed.
That and Scrubs.

I watched it in the beginning, but then I stopped. Never made it past season four, I think.

The boyfriend catches it on television every once in a while.
