I am going to miss The Big Bang Theory.

Unless Penny and the tiny blonde with the squeaky voice finally gave in to their long-repressed yearnings and expressed their true feelings in a tender, loving manner involving a wading pool filled with gelatin, I don't much care.

That’s only credit to his individual talent though; not credit to the writers.

People actually are that way -- my wife and best friend for two. It's nice to see people like them get some notice in a loving way.

My wife:
Super smart, nearly a genius. Borderline obsessive compulsive.
Valedictorian of her high school. Graduated with honors from a top University.
Socially awkward, not attractive in a stereotyped sense, dresses funny, not at all athletic.
Bullied all through elementary, middle, and high schools.
A fan-girl of fantasy and science fiction novels and shows, but especially of movies with Anthony Hopkins or Sean Bean.
A computer geek.

There are some shows/films that are supposed to be funny, but I don't find them funny. They generate a "meh" reaction from me and I move on.

But The Big Bang Theory is the only thing that is painfully unfunny to me. It actually agitates me that people think it's funny, or good, or anything positive. I hate that it bothers me, but for some reason it really does. Thank god it's over.

I'm still ticked they took it off US Netflix.

Again, I can't tell others what to think of the show. But like I said in a prior post, I identified with it, because I saw a bunch of oddballs like me dealing with the same discrimination of  being different.

And yes, I knew EXACTLY what this thread was just by the title.

HA! I KNEW SOMEONE WOULD GET IT!

Long ago, I loved the episode where Lenard explained to Penny how the elevator got fucked up. It is funny, I should have expected it to be fixed in the final episode, but I literally did not see that coming.

Found the clip.
Hehe

My favorite idiosyncrasy was Sheldon'd door knock.

" Soft Kitty" was my favorite on going joke. My late mother loved the song, but didn't catch all the words and begged me listen to any episode to get the words correct. After a few times, my mom loved knowing all the lyrics and would sing along with it anytime I did on my own, or when we were watching an episode with that song in it.

About a year or so ago I learned to play "Soft Kitty" on the ukulele and brought it to the next uke jam session. Was very surprised at how many people had no idea what it was. The rest thought it was great.

And yeah, I didn't see the elevator coming either, and should have expected it. I DID expect Penny to be happily pregnant though, and was glad they did that.

Still disappointed at how many family members we never got to meet. I would so very much have loved for Penny's grandmother to have been Carol Burnett and her great-grandmother to have been Betty White. It would have been perfect casting.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Maybe we can get a spin off out of this. Howard and Berinie might be a good one. Maybe call it "Wall Of Wits."

I think the actor who played Sheldon is pretty much typecast. I would however love to see him do a real Saturday morning science show.

Wouldn't someone with a science background be a better choice?  You understand that Jim Parsons isn't Sheldon Cooper, correct?
