Music remakes you think better than original

RE: Music remakes you think better than original
Here's a few:

(Fun fact: I once wrote a list of my five favourite songs and least favourite songs. This version was in the top list and the Britney Spears version was on the bottom list)

Somehow, when I hear this song in my head, it's always with this backing track, but with Willie Nelson's singing voice.

This is a complicated case, because this was originally meant to be on Bat Out of Hell 2, but was rejected for some very complicated reasons. In the intervening 13 years, Jim Steinman gave it to Celine Dion.

There's a load more, (especially for a fan of the blues, a genre which is largely built around lovingly ripping off other people's songs), but, of course, we have the 3-video-per-post limit.

To celebrate the fall of the Wall Leonard Bernstein conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven's 9th Symphony, with "froelich" replaced by "freiheit" (freedom).

Yet you responded.

Responded, but didn't answer.  I answered your question about 'Mony Mony' because I thought you were looking for information, not playing a game.

Kinda cool the way that video makes that song even more irritatingly pretentious than the original.

Krokus cover of "Ballroom Blitz" succeeded in both being truly awful and vastly better than the original by Sweet.

Many moons ago in the quiet Cheshire town of Macclesfield The Macc Lads did a remake of Blockbuster by The Sweet. They slightly altered the lyrics..... WARNING this song has lyrical content that some listeners will definitely find offensive.
