Why is it that otherwise intelligent people can't seem to remember your likes and dislikes?
Is it they do remember - but figure if they drag you to church enough times, you'll get religion?
Me - I don't enjoy musicals. My sister and my SO dragged me to see Frozen when it was in the theater. I hated it. I would have fallen asleep - except the seats were too uncomfortable and the audio waaay too loud.
Now they want to drag me to The Lion King.
WTF is wrong with these people?
Don't try convincing me I will like it. I won't.
I shouldn't have to.

I don't know, I would go just to see the latest advancement in animation.
But I can relate, people always try to convince you to try things that they consider enjoyable.

Why do otherwise intelligent people constantly forget that I’m definitely going to drag them to a musical?
Not that I’m legitimately complaining, it’s always easier to ambush somebody.

These are the same sort of people who know I don't like pizza but are convinced that if I try
their favourite pizza place, it'll change my mind.

Tell them you'd sooner have the cash they would have spent on your dinner. But first, get them to commit to the most expensive restaurant you can.

My hubby takes me to musicals. He knows I hate them, but that I'm willing to because he enjoys his time with me when he's doing something he enjoys.
