There's no solution to this problem that isn't radical. Something needs to be done, and asap. Do you have an alternative solution that actually doesn't involve waiting one decade more to start seriously doing anything to address the problem?

Millions - not billions of people - for starters. I did my part - no kids. That extends resources 1000 fold - and reduces CO2 emmissions the same. ... RE: Enviromentalistic Politics

Yeah no kids, no food OR ... raise global standard of living! "How do you do that?" you may ask.
Maybe the best solution would be to gather physicists in one place and don't let them leave until they find some nuclear solution.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

And how are you going to achieve that exactly in just a few years? Are you implying we should start culling people as well? And you also seem to think that emissions per capita is a constant, lol You have not proposed any serious solution to the problem, just whinging, that's all
Keep whacking yourself in the face.
It feels great when you stop. ..... I don' t have a quick fix. I suspect there isn't one. We have a society that is addicted to an "ever expanding economy" - in other words - a Ponzi scheme. Like all Ponzi schemes - the ones who get in last are going to take it up the ass - and not in a good way. No kiss. No lube. To all you breeders - there is going to be a generation that curses you for your gluttony and inability to keep the population at a sustainable level. Cuz that hit the rear view mirror a loooonnng time ago. But hey.. You got yours, right? |
