I guess not because wasting time in church is different because it's excruciatingly boring. In other places like waiting rooms or banks or toilets, you can at least look at your phone or talk to other people.

If the person (like me) comes to the conclusion that the concept/teaching is flawed and was only there due to indoctrination then not a waste. Now religious services only reinforce how logically and emotionally fallacious religion is.
