No?

Then fuck the bullshit mendacious comparisons between this loofah faced shit gibbon who takes credit for everything, accepts responsibility for nothing, denigrates any one who doesn't suck up to him, jettisons even the most obsequious sycophants at a drop of hat, who manifestly views even something so weighty as relationships with other nuclear powers solely through the lens of his personal financial and political gains and losses,  with any persons who takes seriously  fiduciary responsibility, especially a fiduciary responsibility for life and death such as those of a real president such as Obama, or with the real captain such as Edward Smith.

What planet are you from?

You don't get to pick and choose which of your actions you are responsible for.

When you take the job - you are responsible for how it turns out.

Period.

I don' t like President Trump. I care less that you revile him.

Fact is - he IS the president - regardless of how much you whine and pule.  He IS responsible for our military - as he IS the Commander in Chief.

Beat your feet on the floor and cry like a little girl all you like.

It doesn't change facts.

It just makes you look to be a whiney bitch.

No wonder you ape the most contemptible talking points of the GOP while claiming to not be an ( R).   Do you even have the capacity for knowing what "taking responsibility" could possibly mean?

For reference, this is one example: https://alphahistory.com/coldwar/kennedy...pigs-1961/

It is not claiming one is a "stable genius" who has never failed, especially not with an unprecedented track record that could only be compiled by a trump.

In terms of ideology, she obviously won. 3 million more people voted for her. Political discourse in this country has skewed conservative for a long-ass time, and it's about time we gained some perspective. We will continue to move further left. Maybe we'll finally be center-left as a nation!

I'm not congratulating myself, I didn't do a whole lot to make it happen. It's just sort of happening. Check out how many progressives are in Congress and local government.

Thats the stage we are at! His *normal* antics (and that of anyone with inhis administration, Giuliani up to Pence) are not even noticed anymore as what they really are: utter insanity and incompetence, to say the least. I am however part of this board, and since it is populated with lots of USians i have no choice but to learn about the comic strip that the US government has become. Talking about hate, i particularly see one peronand his followers spreading hate and vitriol towards almost anybody (nd then turning 180° before turing 180° again which makes it even worse): DJT

Anyone who ready Twitter can see how hate has been normalized by the most powerful caricature of a human being on the planet.

To many americans it may has not dawned yet, particularly those who still stick with this clown*, but the standing of the US has probably been damaged far beyond what his presence in the WH may be. The US has been discredited far beyond what sme may imagine.

No. You don' t have a handle on chain of command.

When the Titanic sunk - was the captain blameless?

Nope. He was in charge.

That's how it works - for good or bad.

Not by the whim of your opinion.

CIC means Commander in Charge - not "cuz I concur".
Dude, your reply to me is a complete non sequitur. Where did i comment on Trump in relation to the operations regarding Al Baghdadi at all? I am german and a fan of german military history. You can bet your a$$ that i know what chain of command is.

The fact that Trump may have made a decision that was beneficial to the US, the world...whatever, does not mean by any stretch of imagination that he did the fuck know what the fuck he was doing. Being POTUS he has to make so many decisions that some of them HAVE to be *correct*. Yet looking at his underlying motivations it mostly points towards two things
#1 cluelessnes (as indicated by countless back-and-forth)
#2 or vileneness (when first praising then belittling and then praising again)
I cannot see how his orders to kill Al Badhdadi can be possibly have been based on something laudable.

At best i see someone who is amoral and possibly sociopathic and who tries to simulate being a feeling human being at times, who tries to simulate empathy, then gets confused when people are irritated because his simulation is so flawed and transparent.

And i dont hate him at all. Looking at how he must feel being at odds with the rest of humanity (including Fox news lately) i feel more pity than contempt. There were times where i tought it might be advantageous for him to lack empathy etc., but now i think life is living hell for him, a constant struggle. Always having been that way, he just doesnt know what it is like to be a human being, he never had the experience and never will. Nevertheless, he needs to be removed from his position and needs to bear the consequences for his actions, and i dont necessarily mean that (exclusively) in the legal sense. He may suffer from some mental condition, but he is not insane, and thus fully responsible for what he does to others.

Progressive = the new labling for liberals who think it will matter in the next election.

2012 Trump would not give credit to 2019 Trump for killing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

video:

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

In trump's mind, no one but trump deserves credit for anything, and trump deserves credit for everything, whether there is credit or not.

The kind of sycophancy with which trump surrounds himself would embarrass most dictators steeped in personality cults, much less in a putative democracy of a people.

The sort of things coming out of spokesperson for the Whitehouse, a 4 star general "isn't equipped to handle the genius of our great president" leaves me with very little hope in the viability of democracy in which half of the electorate thinks an administration such as this is acceptable so long as one gets one's way with the opposition.   Of all the world's despots, perhaps kim jong un and Robert Mugabe would have felt comfortable with this bullshit.   I think it is towards the political societies they've built that we are sliding.
