Honestly, this stuff is super cool, you should look into it.  Cooler, by far, than astral flight.

Yeah I've heard that too. And how drugs can trigger the release of chemicals already in the brain.

Have you experienced "astral flight" before?

No one's experienced astral flight.

Having my reality shattered was the most frightening experience I've had.
It happened while watching TV (there is another experience I remember from when very young).
I got up to go to the kitchen and while walking there I started seeing sparks of light above me. I stopped and looked up to see the lights were coming from a single point in the air below the ceiling. Then there were rays/strands of light coming down towards me.

I thought something is wrong with me. I am hallucinating.
Then I had the strangest thought. I'm not in my body.

I dropped to my knees, hands and forehead to the floor as the light kept coming down. I covered the sides of my head with my arms and began screaming as loud as I could in absolute fear. Thinking: I have to get back. I have to get back. I have to get back.

That felt pretty real to me Boru.
I'm not talking about this dimension. I'm talking about another dimension that we can access though our minds. The ability is real.

I'm sure that's what you experienced.  But a dream or an hallucination also counts as an 'experience'.

But I'm happy to offer a test of your imagined abilities.  I'm in my home office.  On my desk is a notepad on which I've written ten common English words.  If you can astral project over here (or show up via a dimensional tunnel, I really don't care which) and correctly identify just  three of the ten words, I'll admit that these abilities exist and that you're not just some looney who could benefit from psychotherapy.

Ok.

Stage one: Darkness
Stage two: Sprinkles of light.
Stage three: Bright white rainbow light.
Stage four: Non-physical eyelids open.

I think Buddha knew this. Because it is what sounds like meditation. I think listening to breathing, counting, mantras, or visualising will not get the same results. They are replacements and not the complete removal of thought and becoming selfless as needed.
It is said that state of mindlessness can be achieved after many years of practice but can be impossible for most people in a lifetime.

If you close your eyes and look deep into the darkness you can feel your eyes change position. Listening into the darkness will tune out outside noises.
You are searching within yourself. That is how selflessness can be achieved.

It's like if you hear a noise or see movement outside your window on a dark night and try to identify what it is. Then your thoughts will disappear as your senses and focus are directed into the darkness.

At sometime phosphenes will begin appearing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphene

Colourful lights drifting in the darkness moving and changing shape. They last longer by not following them or they can quickly disappear. Keep looking straight ahead and use peripheral vision to watch.

At sometime another light will appear from straight ahead. A white light. It moves forward by allowing it to happen and retreats by analysing it. Let it do its thing until it comes forward and fills all vision.

It is a white light but when close up can see it is all colours of the rainbow and the colours are constantly folding in on itself (like kneading dough).

Then your (non-physical) eyelids open.

Have you thought of changing your name to 'Stonedheart'?

Experience is still ability.
Thanks but your test wont be much help because it has nothing to do with what I have said.

Edit: I'm talking about being able to access another dimension within our minds. That ability is real.
But yeah I know talking about that could sound looney.

It's always the same with you lot - you make all of these groundbreaking, earthshattering claims about your superpowers, and have fuck all to back it up with.  You haven't offered anything testable, any explanations - you've simply repeated the claim 'This is real', as if we're supposed to take it on trust about these other dimensions and astral projection.

It doesn't just sound looney, it is looney.

Do you know what Phosphenes are? It is not woo. Comes from Greek meaning to show light.
Phosphenes are very interesting to look into (Pun intended).

Researching Phosphenes is interesting. Light and geometric shapes coming from the mind. The same shapes seen all over the world. It has been suggested that prehistoric drawing and paintings are representations of phosphenes.
Looneys have been around for a very long time.

I just found this:

According to Lewis-Williams's theory, the enigmatic geometric shapes (entoptics) evident in prehistoric rock art throughout the world indicate the first stage of altered states of consciousness as the shaman prepares to enter the spiritual or supernatural world (Lewis-Williams & Dowson 1989: 6063).

Neuroscientists have reproduced these effects in laboratory conditions, which corroborates Lewis-Williams's shamanistic theory, since it implies that these experiences are common to all human beings, including early humans, as they share with modem humans a common neurological structure.
