The code that is DNA
December 2, 2019 at 9:57 pm
(This post was last modified: December 2, 2019 at 9:58 pm by Yukon_Jack.)
Are any atheists curious at the hand and glove fitting between Dna code creation and the translation mechanics? Where else in Nature exists instructions being formed, transcribed and translated? In other words, what codes exist in nature without an intelligent agent? The code is represented by the arbitrary order of nucleotides , not the laws of chemistry.

Are there any theists who think that the fact that their butt print in sand fits their butt exactly is not proof of god?

You mean Why can’t you point what codes exist in nature without an intelligent agent?
Is that what you’re asking?

It's all so clear to me. I've been a fool.
DNA is code.
Therefore God is real.
Airtight really. /sarcasm just in case

Yukon,
Why do you think that complexity necessitates a designer? We have a rational understanding of how life started through abiogenisis with simple replicators that slowly, over much time, increased in complexity and through random changes. Successful changes caused those things to survive and go on to more and more complex things.
God not necessary really.

Instead of dancing around the big elephant, perhaps you’d tax some brain cells in the service of demystifying how the arbitrary order of nucleotides came about?
.....
Nah!

They just did, as evinced by everything you see around you. It is a poorly understood mystery; but saying god did it doesn't really add any information.
You didn't really think you were going to blow our skirts up with the simple fact that DNA is code did you? You might as well have told us to look at the trees.
As a Theological Noncognitivist I would put forth that there isn't even a jumping off point to start talking bout God. That furious green idea has slept furiously for too long to keep failing so ferociously at providing any real evidence for its existence.
