#NewGuy was trending on on Twitter a few days ago, and I've seen a lot of buzz on other places; where most just see it as a wholesome character that, as opposed to the original intent of the self-insert by the animator, was embraced by most people on the Internet.




However, what has developed since then is that right-leaning elements want to weaponize this and use it to show how the left is insane or something.

What do you think? Is this character nefarious in some way or is just a wholesome character?

Hmm, showing empathy and reflexive listening skills. Seems like an honest dude just trying to point out something true to a person who is too quick to jump on a bandwagon to revel in another person's misfortune.
