If you want to see some conflict between AI and people, go read Greg Benford's Galactic Center series, if you are into SciFi. Even if you aren't, he covers a lot of ground in there on this topic.

I am into that but a creation vs. creator story is so much about parenting that I can't enjoy it anymore.  Eventually the robots need to move on and do their own thing on but they don't.  They keep coming back with their issues and I say damn kids, I'm just the guy who kept the ball rolling.  I don't have all the answers.

I guess that would also depend on how we codify the definitions of hurt into the system.
