Not to worry dear, we'll all pray with you.

Then again, christians often believe we're born in sin, and no one is really good, or innocent. The epitome of dehumanization. "No human has ever thought up a god with better manners than his own." I would add "and many of those god were horrible, like their human imaginers."
Yes. I have noticed that at best, gods are only ever slightly more progressive than the general Human populous. at worst, they're just as bad as any evil dictator.

I voted for Jubal Harshaw for US President in 1972. Given the other choices...

If nominated, he would not have run. If elected, he would not have served.

This interpretation is contradicted in Luke. When bad luck happens it isn't a sign that unlucky people are worse.
Quote:Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” [Lk 13:2-5]

I see. Bad things don’t happen to the unlucky, but to people who think for themselves.

That's right, religion hates people to actually think, it's bad for their business.

Yeap
Quote:Trump cabinet Bible study leader blames coronavirus on gay people and environmentalists
The minister who hosts a weekly bible study session for President Trump’s cabinet has an opinion about the origins of the coronavirus. According to Ralph Drollinger, it’s just another form of God’s wrath in response to an increasingly progressive nation.
Drollinger also railed against the “religion of environmentalism” and people who express a “proclivity toward lesbianism and homosexuality,” who he claims have infiltrated “high positions in our government, our educational system, our media and our entertainment industry” and “are largely responsible for God’s consequential wrath on our nation.”
“Drollinger’s study guides have provided Biblical justification for the Trump administration’s undocumented immigrant child separation policies and arguments in favor of lower taxes on the wealthy.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
