He was bad at 65 YO, too. Some poor schmo tried to mug him when he and some friends were out for a stroll in, I believe, Beverly Hills. He knocked the shit out of the would-be mugger with his cane.

In all seriousness, I think my late mother, knowing she was in decline, pointed this song out to try to say she could identify with me being an oddball. "Little Sir Echo"... Think about being isolated, in a canyon, and you shout and your voice is the only thing that bounces back, and all life seems far away. I truly think that my late mother was telling me, despite our differences that she understood what it was like to feel isolated wanting those around her to understand her. Certainly this is not modern pop. But personally knowing it was a song she grew up with, and went out of her way to point out to me in her last days, this song really hits home to me and means more than anything in the world to me. I grew up with 70s and 80s music. I tuned out when grunge rock took over. But lets face it, those into 90s rock and hip hop, look back on the older folks like us, and reject what we grew up with. OMG - I have two kids older than you. <sob> RE: Fig Newtons, Issac Newton, Olivia Newton.

That is my best friend from Oklahoma, who "meh"'ed "she's ok" about Margo Price and this song which I love. Back before the internet, in the age of cassette tapes loved Rush's "Tom Sawyer" song, and knew it was on rotation on my local rock station, and stayed up all night to use my tape deck to record it through my stereo. It was actually the first night in my life where I actually stayed up all night. The worst part about getting old though, you want more sleep. RE: Fig Newtons, Issac Newton, Olivia Newton.

If it gives any comfort to anyone reading this, I actually sang 3 Olivia songs to my cat, and he actually sat through all of them staring at me. I'd like to believe he was getting into the tune, but late in the last song, he yawned, stood up and walked away. Jerry Seinfeld anyone?
Yes I have a pathetic life, my cat walked away from me. Here is my favorite Blondie VIDEO, not song, but VIDEO........... But I'm no hilljack. I'm from the dirty south, Glen Campbell's neighborhood. Rush hooked me with 2112. Moving Pictures blew me away.
I haven't had Fig Newtons for years. I just had to put them on my grocery list after seeing this thread.
