Africa hasn't been hit hard yet because the virus takes time to spread and that's more limited in less-developed nations. Once it does spread things can get very bad. The WHO is currently very worried that Africa is poised for a major outbreak that it won't be able to control. Due to inadequate testing we may never properly know the extent of it.
