You are a decade late dumbass. The Tv show "Riptide" didn't first air till the 80s.

FYI, I didn't like the show because of sexuality. I liked the show because two jocks defended a nerd and they defended the nerd and relied on him too.

In reality is was typical formula script good guy vs bad guy. But the reason I like it, was because out of the 3 main characters was that the two buff, face guys, defended a "nerd" whom was their brains whom helped them solve cases. 

In the 80s when I grew up, I was bullied. So it was always nice to see a motif of those sticking up for the weak.

Here is one of the ORIGINAL intros....





I love the music, theme and motif of the show. In 'Riptide" you have 3 guys whom stick up for the small guy, the attacked, the weak. And one of the 3 was a nerd, whom helped them out. 

I loved the "Screaming  MeMe" because it was a rust bucket like any other thing in reality, which all of us have had, in which we turn to.
