Let's talk about serial killers. I bet I know more about them than most people here.
Lorena Bobbitt, Lizzie Borden...pffft...underachievers. Especially since Borden was acquitted of the murders and Bobbitt didn't kill anyone.

Um no, anyone watching cable TV knows they have documentaries on every subject in the world, from war to crime. That means there are people who get paid to research the worst behaviors of humanity. Hitler is certainly far more studied and documented than Lizzie Borden or Lorena Bobbitt.
It is "technically" and legally true that Lizzie was never convicted. But Hitler also never had his signature on the "final solution" orders. And OJ is another example of "prove it" one could argue.
I can also tell you the two games the Redskins played the year they beat the Miami Dolphins in the Super Bowl by the same score by a division rival prior to making it to the Super Bowl.
I can also tell you in the movie "No Way Out" Kevin Costner gets on the Baltimore Subway in the movie in Georgetown DC and at the time Georgetown did not have a subway

Hitler wasn’t a serial killer. OJ Simpson isn’t a serial killer, not sure why you’re bringing them up.
Since there are all these documentaries, then a person’s age is largely irrelevant to what they know.
You’ve already told us about those games. At least three times.
Georgetown DID have a subway, just not a metro station (I looked that up).

Did you know the ghost players in Field of Dreams weren't really ghosts?
I went to school with some of those guys.
Kevin Costner didn't really see ghost players but the corn was real, as is the house.
Amazing how movies depict fictional things and take artistic license.

That corn wasn't real. One of my sons overheard two people in a grocery store, looking at corn in the husk, laughing and commenting that corn only comes in cans. I shit you not. About 3 months ago.

The level of ignorance some people display on a daily basis as I surf the web is appalling. That people refuse to wear masks to reduce their potential infection doesn't surprise me at all. The chump lovers across the street are in that category. They talk about which stores they can go to that don't require masks. Hint- they ALL do, now. They mention how one's CO2/CO levels build as one wears a mask. I asked how a medical team in the OR doesn't all asphyxiate and fall over when wearing masks for an 8-hour surgical procedure, but it fell on deaf ears. In my burg, the infection level is about 700 over 126k peops (since it started), so I suspect that that is making them complacent. I'm going to stop visiting them, given the risk.

I once dated a girl who was absolutely astonished that you could make a cake from a box mix. At 22 years old, she thought cakes had to come from bakeries.

Ignorance is definitely not in short supply. And it doesn't hide itself either.

Years ago I hosted a birthday party for my younger daughter - I think it was her 11th birthday. I was getting snacks and things together and one girl was standing near me in the kitchen wide-eyed. I just kept doing what I was doing which was popping popcorn in a skillet. When it was done I removed the lid to transfer it into a bowl and the observer was slack-jawed. I asked if she was okay and she said she didn't know you could make popcorn in a pan on the stove.

OK, I heard this as "Jewish" from a Jewish friend, but I'll clean it up, because this sort of thing is nowhere near confined to those of the Jewish faith-
What does a (pick your ethnic/religious/color/sex person) American Princess make for dinner? Reservations.
On that note, when my eldest son was about 7 YO, my wife was going to her cousin's wedding out of town and was going to be gone for 10 days. He started bawling, "We're going to starve!". Never mind that I'd made many a meal for the family. Quelle surprise, nobody died of starvation. Though I will say that she went alone because we didn't have enough money for all five of us to gallivant all the way across the continent for a cousin's wedding, (whom I thought was a pretentious ass, anyway).
