Does anyone have any questions about the surgery or recovery?  Ask away.
You feeling alright ?

For the most part.

There's still a little pain still; it is a major surgery.  But it's nothing I can't manage.  There's still a part of me that would love to take another oxycodine pill, but I don't want to deal with potential chemical dependence, so I'm relying on extra strength tylenol.  Not quite as good.

Dilating is a hassle, but even that's getting easier to do with time.

If I may be bold, what are the expectations for sexual sensation and orgasm?

No questions, just wishing you a quick and complications free recovery.

I had a transsexual girlfriend during the late 1980's. She experienced no sexual sensations or orgasms. I don't know if there have been surgical advancements since then to improve this condition.

How long did it take you to use the "correct" public toilet without any "oops"?

Interesting. My eldest is intending to have at least some of the surgery. Did you have any last minute misgivings about it?

I've talked to a lot of other women who have had the same surgery and most of them can reach orgasm and have a healthy sex life.  Once in a while you hear or see a horror story that gets pretty bad.

But it will still take some time to find out.  Healing and recovery take time and there's still quite a bit of numbness down there.

Personally, this is something I'm REALLY looking forward to.  It was so frustrating before, when I was with a guy and we were both ready to go and..... I just couldn't have sex the way I wanted to.  Well, now I will be able to.

@Gwaithmir yeah, it seems like surgery advancements have come quite a way since the 80's.  Still, that's something that varies from person to person.  Really, the final result depends on post-op patient upkeep, their physical condition when going into surgery, the skill of the surgeon and stuff like that.  I had gotten into pretty good shape in preparation for surgery and my surgeon is one of the big, up-and-coming names in this specific surgery so I'm feeling confident I'll be alright.

@Gawdzilla Sama So, when I was starting my transition, I went through a decent "in between" stage, where my boobs were too pronounced to really pass as a male, but I still had a little too much facial hair to pass as female.  I got strange looks whatever restroom I used then so I started going in the women's room.  The first time a stranger told me not to use the men's room was the last time I intentionally used the men's room.

@Abaddon_ire The main thing I was nervous about immediately before surgery were mostly covid concerns.  What if I tested positive?  What if my surgeon tested positive?  What if elective surgeries had to be canceled again?  Fortunately, things worked out (although, had my surgery been scheduled just a few days later, it would have had to have been delayed).  I can understand some of the uncertainty and nervousness about surgery.  After all, it IS major surgery and that should make anyone nervous.  But, still, I think the discomfort of my body being wrong outweighed the discomfort of surgery.

Why did this person care what bathroom you used?

A quick test to see how you are progressing......

When buying a car - which is more important -

How big the engine is and how many horsepower -

Or

What color is it - and is it fabric or leather interior????

If the former - you got a ways to go.....

Wink

Hope you feel better soon....

Likely because they felt their own sexual identity to be threatened. That is the usual reason.
