I do believe that's the nicest thing anyone has said about me this week...

As in other elections I will be voting for the lesser of two evils. This time one of the evils is really diabolical.
All I hope for is Biden to win and stop some of this madness. Actually my real hope is that he wins so I can watch when they have to pull Trump kicking and screaming out of the White House...come to think of it, that's maybe why he has a wall around it so that can't be caught on anyone's cellphone to go viral.
Lets see, the Dems win, Biden resigns for health reasons, Kammy picks a moderate republican for VP (don't know if that is even possible).
Everybody gets something.
She would be able to pick any person that is eligible to be president...

Of course it’s possible - Biden already did it.

That seems to be the consensus. Biden is unlikely to be the problem-solving savior people are looking for, but he’s less bad than Trump.
And marketing a candidate that way - ‘Vote Smith - He Isn’t Jones!!’ - is nothing new. It has a long and storied history.

And on the other topic this thread seems to have devolved into, I don’t think OLB is some sort of secret Republican operative. Simply because some people would like to pigeonhole him into a neat little compartment (and can’t do it) doesn’t justify labeling him as a Trumpite. He seems more concerned with policies than with parties. How is that a bad thing?

I have always leaned Democrat but only once have I voted straight ticket. I am more interested in the person because that's what matters and not so much their political party affiliation. There are those right, left, and center in both major parties.
As for Biker...he shoots straight (that phrase ought to rile some of the tender folks here) but he stays consistent. I don't agree with all the things he has said and at times I have been very frustrated with him. Over all he's become someone that the special snowflakes love to hate on. Those delicate little flowers make me roll my eyes when they trot out their SJW spiel in an attempt to discredit OLB. Whatever...most people wear that SJW shit as a badge of honor because it's the "right" thing to stay PC.
I would rather interact with people who have different stances on some things than just hang out in an echo chamber.
Biker fucking hates tattoos...I have several...we are still able to be friends...I think. It's the differences in people that makes life interesting.

Picked a moderate Republican. Contrary to what Trump would like his acolytes to believe, neither Biden or Harris are leftists. They aren’t even liberals. They’re conservative Democrats, which is the same thing as being moderate Republicans.

Boru And that's what we need to get the votes to oust the clown.

Exactly. Which is why Biden doesn’t need to court the Progressive wing of the party (they’ll vote for him anyway, because Bernie said they should).

Yeah, it's a shame that the American right has reached the point that anything that wouldn't fit in whatever conglomeration of Gilead, Galt's Gulch, Oceania, and the West of Blood Meridian they've latched onto as their utopia du jour is automatically a dangerous far-leftist ideology that needs to be destroyed as quickly as possible. If I was old enough to vote before the Republican Party reached this point, I might have actually considered voting for someone marked as a Republican at some point in my life.

Boru Or because they know that, as woefully inadequate as Biden is, he's still the only person standing between the world and four more years of Trump, and has been since April 8.
