Translate your name...
Without giving your actual name, if you don't use it here, tell us what your name "means".

My first and middle names originated from words meaning "Fierce Wagon Driver". Gotta go watch "The War Wagon" again.

First name: to tie family, strong combatant, or hearty.
Middle name: god is gracious
Surname: son of Anders or Andrew

So one interpretation is "tie up Andrew's family, god is great!"

First - meaning not found - pretty sure it was decreed that I share the name of the matriarch

Middle - the side (as of a ship) or area that is sheltered from the wind - shared with numerous family members, male and female, see the decree noted above

Last - which one? So far I have had four. The first one is a bastardization of the German word for Friday, probably an Ellis Island thing. The other three aren't really mine.

Well my first two initials represent BLOW JOB.

The irony is that I am adopted and back then, my adoptive parents offered me the opportunity to change my biological name, which I did. BUT, neither of them knew the implications of my initials which I adapted because I didn't like my old name. So shortly after they adopted me, we were on a road trip from Suburban DC VA on our way to Annapolis MD. I took the first two names at the top of the list being 5 and a half years old. I had no clue. Neither did they. I also could have picked Homer or Maximillian, which were lower on the list.

But even just this past week, watching college football, I noticed a player with the last name "Fagot"....... NO NO NO, NOT PRONOUNCED THE SAME WAY...... It doesn't matter when you are unfortunately dealing with bullies.

But still, I saw that this weekend and felt sorry for him.

Point is, I have a biological name, and an adoptive name, and to me, neither of them define me as an adult.

One of the most annoying things, looking back at my adoptive father trying to instill pride in me he used to say, "You are a (insert last name here), it will put hair on your chest".
