I'm told that it's technically easy to do...but it doesn't feel that way in the moment. I suddenly mistrust any and all expertise. It's a joint bit. They do the bounce, we do the roll.
(before you ask...the roll...is when the occupants of the helicopter calmly and in an orderly fashion tumble out of the sides on impact - before it gains enough alt to break your legs, you see....)
