Welcome to the forums. I have though about starting an atheist Church many times. I have yet to do so but I think that is the missing link that makes leaving religion so difficult. When one releases their belief in God they often find themselves in a hard position where they cannot stay connected to their support network anymore. I'm not sure how to frame it, I have some ideas, but it would need to be inclusive of the religious but solidly rooted in logic, reason, and the elimination of magical thinking without removing the joy of life. Yes, I'm aware that it would probably be repellant to religious people but such is life.

Hola yall.

Welcome!
I've also been an atheist for 8 years, and am close to being an Aspie, but don't think I'm over the line (though half my family is) I go to a UU church. Half its membership are atheist. I'm also starting to enjoy hanging out here, though I was quite involved in Amazon Religion forum before it got shut down by the great overlord. Those discussions are part of what turned me atheist. People need community, and I enjoy discussing religious and life matters. Nice to have you aboard! RE: Hola yall.

Welcome.
I'm sure the staff minimum bribe levels are posted somewhere. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" (November 24, 2020 at 3:44 am)The Valkyrie Wrote: Welcome. Those are NOT bribes. They are charitable contributions that we don't talk about. Boru

I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
