Cit0day ALERT ! Possibilty it was hacked
Do you know https://haveibeenpwned.com/ ? This website contact you when a leak with your email address was detected.

An account on a website that I use with the email address used to register there was compromised.
As I don't know which account on which website is on the air.
I modified the password on all websites that I use with the email address used for this forum.

I don't know if this board is concerned by Cit0day but I advise to verify if the email address you use for this forum is in the database of Cit0day with https://haveibeenpwned.com/

I have no plans to go there.  I know I've been pwned, as has practically everyone on the internet.  All you can do is make sure you use strong passwords on sites that matter (email, banking) and never re-use those.  I do re-use passwords on sites I don't care about as much.

I don't remember my password for this one, but if someone posts here as a theist or troll, I'm either playing a joke, or I've been pwned Dodgy

So...if you don’t have much money or any interesting information...what other reasons would someone steal your information? Just curious because I don’t have much money or any interesting information and I can’t figure out why anyone would ever want to hack my stuff 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can be hacked even if you're not personally targeted.
It does exist robots that scan Internet websites or / and IP address to find some security holes.
This is not rare than some hackers create robots to find security holes they want.

Example 1 : There are many websites vulnerable to SQL injections.
If someone create a robot to scan websites vulnerable to SQL injections.
This person can also program the robot to attack sites found by the robot.
If the individual have the data. He / she can release these or use these.

Example 2 : There are people who have an IPv4 (Very rare to see someone with an IPv4 connection that isn't under a NAT) or IPv6 connection connected directly to Internet that isn't under a NAT (This is rare to see IPv6 users using a NAT).
If a robot scan their IP address and find a security hole. It can exploit this hole to enter into the computer behind the public IP address.
In some cases a robot can exploit a way to pass through the NAT when there are one but it is rather rare.
If someone have data from your computer. He / she can release these or use these.

Example 3 : If a friend give you an USB device and don't know it is infected.
You can get a malicious software.

I'm just cool like that
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming"  -The Prophet Boiardi-
