But I'll take a shot - Moonlighting, Bruce Willis, Cybill Shepherd.
Since you brought up Moonlighting, and have a good memory, I will regale you with my favorite Moonlighting episode, "In God We Strongly Suspect" I hate the ending where Maddie reconsiders the possibility of a god, but in the episode she flat out rejects the idea of a God.
At time stamp 22 minutes and 3 seconds in, is the scene where Maddie denies the existence of God. I didn't know shit back in the 80s, but I can say watching that one scene really helped me realize I was not alone in being skeptical.
