China have explicitly said that they WILL take back Taiwan as it has always been Chinese.
The Taiwanese are saying they've never been owned by Beijing.

Taiwan are asking western countries for support.
Chinese planes flew over Taiwan yesterday with live nukes on them.

Right now and for the next 3 weeks we are exactly in the same precarious position as the Cuban missile crisis.
My money's on a hot war. 13 out of the last 17 serious trade wars have ended in hot wars.

2020 will be a walk in the park ...

In 2021 I would just like to be able to leave the house without first deciding if it's worth it.

And I really, really want to take the road trip to the Midwest that I had to cancel last June.

About a month ago I expressed a desire to go on what might be my last fireworks trip to Pennsylvania. Now I'd really like to go because my atheist nephew from Maine recently asked if he could accompany me.   Clap
