We The People Act

Here we go again.
Just like The Patriot Act.
Anytime a politician names a piece of legislation with a name designed to force your compliance or you look
" un-American" - you can bet your last dollar that an ass fucking is on it's way.

"All government bad"
Ok, fine, I used to work in food service, do you think I should be required by law to wash my hands before I serve you after leaving the bathroom?
If I own a restaurant you think it is ok if I were to leave fish or beef or pork out in room temperature all day?

I hadn’t heard of this, so I read up on it. It doesn’t seem particularly onerous - it requires better reporting of campaign contributions and proposes a lifetime ban on lobbying by former congresspeople. And it’s been languishing in Congress for more than two years.
Hard to see how that constitutes an ‘ass fucking’.

Yeah, can you actually point out any specific parts of the We The People Act that would constitute "an ass-fucking"? Because I'm looking at it and all I'm seeing is expanding access to the ballot box, overturning Citizens United, requiring presidential candidates to disclose their last ten tax returns, mandating disclosure of special interest campaign donations, and banning former members of Congress from becoming lobbyists.

At this point, I’m suspecting the name “The We The People Act” might be what disturbs him, that it doesn’t say what exactly is in the Bill, even though the contents and summaries thereof are readily available online. And it’s worth noting that of what I’ve found, the most substantive criticism against it is the fact that its voting provisions threaten to end any hope of Republican dominance because if not for voter suppression laws, there’d be no chance they’d get anywhere. And they’ve flat-out admitted this BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT A COUPLE DAYS AGO.
Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if the mere fact that it is proposed legislation at all is what’s perturbing him. Not even anything in it. He’s demonstrated his views are getting that far off the grid.

It's a moderate anti-corruption bill

2.Yeah I mean who wants the government to actually do its job. That's just crazy!
