I.T. stuff
Forgot password. Requested new password. Copy and pasted new password from email. Got access.

Went to account to change/update password. Copy and pasted newly acquired password into Current Password box. (You know ... because I couldn't remember the old one!)

Error message : Wrong password.
I literally JUST Logged in with it!

Fucking christ.

Could you possibly have copy/pasted the wrong thing when trying to change/update?

Probably not.

I've encountered the same issue elsewhere.

Try manually typing in your temp password.

Should work.

I see you're as much a fan of changing your username as me.

Could be worse, I found I couldn't access my work email, thought I had messed something up (I do mess with things!) eventualy gave up and phoned the IT department. The reply went something like "Oh yes, we had to change your email password, we sent you an email with the new one... ohh shit!" Smile

Nice!

Last year I tried to sign in to do my son's taxes.  I had the login and password written down on the paperwork from the previous year.  Wouldn't let me log in.  So I went to reset the password and used one of the passwords I had tried to log on with...got the message that I couldn't reuse the last password.   Doh  So either I did have the password correct or I didn't...I'll never know.  We started over with a different login.

I remember when AF switched to requiring strong passwords. I was a bit bent about it. Now with password managers it's a bit moot, but I still prefer memorable to secure. Same as I don't use two-factor authentication.
