Not unless you've been eating some smoked back bacon and colcannon with it.

It isn’t possible to eat colcannon without cabbage.

I’m aware that some people make it with kale. It is permissible to beat these people with hammers.

I read "beat with hammers".

Who?

Where?

When?

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

Kilkenny people and foodie snobs.

Though be careful with Kilkenny people, they're lethal with hurls and fight like cats.

Old joke:

A reporter stops a Tipperary man coming out of the England v France football match and asks, ‘Were you supporting England?’

‘Is it daft ye are, man? Support England? Cheer for those bastards after 800 years of oppression? After the Famine? After denying us our rights and liberties? Never!’

‘So, there’s no circumstance under which you could see yourself supporting England?’

*pause*

‘Well...maybe if they were playing Kilkenny.’

This thread is taking on a decidedly gay tone. Probably just what it needs. Great

Ordered a bottle of Two Stack's cask strength Irish Whiskey. I wasn't going to pick it up today, but it would be a shame not to do so.

I guess the Johnnie Walker can wait.  The Redbreast 12 year sounds delicious, though Two Stacks or Green Spot are options.  The only Irish Whiskey I'm familiar with is Jameson, and I don't care for that.

If I buy every bottle I'd been thinking of buying this month, I'll have spent $600.  Oh well.

(ETA: Two Stacks is on sale at Surdyk's.  The 'dram in a can' 4-pack is only $15.  That sounds like an excellent introduction to Irish Whiskey.)

I got six different bottles from The Balvenie for my birthday. Close to a thousand dollars in Scotch.

If liquor stores are essential critical infrastructure then why can't I buy booze with my food stamps?
