In the first place, nothing was 'walked back'. The proposed taxes on fuel and mileage where simply floated suggestions (pity, though - you lot should be paying more in petrol taxes).

In the second place, Tucker Carlson is an idiot.

In the third place, see the second place.

Oh Tucker is a baffoon. Does cancel culture bother you though? Like how all the liberals at universities and colleges have safe spaces and won't allow differing opinions.

Nope because it's not even a real problem. It's something butthurt conservatives play up because they have nothing to actually talk about.

You mean that thing that isn't really happening and instead students are simply rejecting giving legitimacy to liars and loons whose dimwitted mouthings are passed off by right-wing fanatics as "differing opinions". Pro tip your not entitled to a platform and universities and colleges can univite you for any reason. Nor are you entitled to listen to by anyone. Nor are you canceled when people tell you to get lost, And all the whining and butthurt in the world won't change that.

It is a problem of assumed righteousness, and misplaced outrage.  It plagues any group that believes it knows the "truth", and doesn't care about the freedom to have differing opinions.
