Putting it in my mouth
RE: Putting it in my mouth
Just frying some lemons.

Who wants to put that in their mouth?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Bacon, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and biscuits...it's especially tasty because husband made it...of course, that means I have to clean the kitchen.

Probably the only meal today...this evening will be more cake. Pistachio cake that my daughter had made. It's an interesting flavor but super moist and the frosting is good. Probably not a flavor a would seek out on a menu...but cake is cake.

Pistachio cake? Although I love pistachio gelati, it doesn't appeal as nuts for a cake. Would certainly try it if offered but probably wouldn't go to the trouble of making a cake. In terms of cost, pistachios are on par with cashews

Last night I had just about the best Chilli con carne I've ever made. It had been  maturing in the fridge over night. Not authentic as it had kidney beans. Also just about the simplest; minced meat, onion, red chilli powder, tomato paste, water. Bunged it in the oven at low head for an hour. Beans; a stock cube a tsp of cumin, pressure cooked for thirty minutes. Had it with two toasted wholemeal muffins.

What a great hubby you have.  When I was married, the best I ever had from herself was a mug of instant coffee when I had the flu. I invented a new nick name for her after we had split. Won't risk telling you, I might get banned. Dodgy

Daughter had a woman she knows make the cake and picked that flavor because her daughter loves pistachios. It wouldn't be my first, second, or third choice either but it wasn't my choice to begin with.

It's not bad but not something I would seek out.

My mum used to say "I'd eat it, but it's not something I'd reach for." My mum could be very cool  Cool

I love cream soda. Whenever I get down to Walmart I always stock up on cream soda.

Drinking a bottle of Cheerwine. I can't remember the last time I had it. This is quite unusual. It's rare for me to have more than one soda a month.

It's usually for people who suffer from malnourishment as a substitute for food and is supposed to contain all the nutrients that the body needs for a day (vitamins, protein, carbs, iron). I was curious and just wanted to try it. Although different from the picture, it is chocolate flavor, and I can taste chocolate and fish oil. And it's a $15 meal for the whole day.

I've seen malnourished residents in the nursing home who consume nothing but those.
