At one protein smoothie a day, it lasts about a month. A cup of milk (I use almond milk), a scoop of powder, and frozen fruit or ice and mix in a blender. If you use ice, you'll probably want to use some kind of flavoring. I use chocolate, caramel, and strawberry syrup, or those Italian syrups they sell to put in your coffee, but that's on top of fruit.I have a supply of mango syrup that I sometimes put in my tea. I actually looked at protein powder but wasn't sure what else to do. Thanks! If you have any sort of kidney issues, be careful with a high protein diet. I looked into the keto diet, but one has to be very careful with it if they have chronic kidney disease (which I do). I guess I could quit drinking beer, but I use it to flush my kidneys. ![]()

I need to eat more regularly and obviously things that will maintain a healthy weight. While others try to lose, I am trying to keep my pants from falling off where my ass should be. I used to be able to monitor the fluctuations in weight by my boobs. Now that they are man made, that isn't a good indicator any more. RE: Putting it in my mouth

I actually looked at protein powder but wasn't sure what else to do. Thanks! I picked up what I need to make overnight oats this morning. I didn't try it in the first batches that I made, but I can't imagine that adding protein powder to them wouldn't work. I add dried fruit or raisins to mine, and add artificial sweetener, so I'm sure with some experimentation I could kill two birds with one stone. I also used to add squeeze jam or jelly or syrup on top when I made hot oatmeal. I'm starting with fruit alone. I added frozen strawberries to one and raisins to the other. After a day in the fridge I suspect the fruit will have thawed. I don't know how long that takes, but I won't be making mine close to bedtime, so it may not be an issue. I can make 2-4 tubs at a time and stack them in the fridge as they keep for up to five days. ![]()
The overnight oats worked well, even if they're not the best thing since sliced bread. The steel-cut oats and strawberries was good, if needing a bit of sweetness. The only issue was that two hours later I was hungry again, so I ate the second batch. I'll have to work on proportions. The second batch was overly sweet, but the raisins worked great. Soaking overnight left them plump and juicy.

Looking at a recipe suggests using applesauce in overnight cream of wheat. I'll have to try that with oats.

Fresh strawberries and Reddi wip.

Panang curry chicken and rice. I got it a little spicy. Pretty good for my first time, though.

#2 son grilled a tri-tip. Came out excellent. Had some mixed vegetables to go with it.
