You tell yourself that.

Pepperoni, sauce, cheese, carbs to hold it together...sounds pizza-like to me.

Lasagna doesn’t have a bread crust. Pizza doesn’t have pasta.

I’ll sometimes have a sausage and cheese sandwich - is that ‘close to pizza’?

Just giving you some grief.

I don't cook much but I do make lasagna now and then.  To me Italian food is much like Mexican food in that the ingredients are similar, just put together in different ways.

Rotini in tomato pesto, chilled, with broiled chicken breasts. I marinated these but they didn't pick up much of the marinade flavor.

Country fried steak, mashed taters, gravy, and peas.

Not my favorite but it's Father's Day so I thought I would cook some up for husband.

Chilled penne pasta with tomato pesto. I bought some Orzo. I have no idea how to cook it or what to make with it, but it sounded interesting so I thought I'd try it.

Grilled some scallops and dropped in some bacon and a sprinkle of garlic. Sauteed Crimini mushrooms on the stove, and microwaved fresh broccoli. It all tastes pretty good, together. Complete accident.

My wife made roast pork loin with homemade mashed potatoes(mine) and gravy and homemade biscuits for us on Fathers day. It was awesome.
