Becoming aware of what we're telling ourselves is a critical part of changing that internal monologue.  Interrupting a stream of negative thoughts, even momentarily, gives us a foothold and then we can start to question:  "Is this actually true?  Do I want it to be true, or do I want to go down a different path?"

Agreed, momentum is a key in getting out of that negative feedback loop. Firstly by stopping then moving it , then to move into a more positive space.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

I'm willing to believe there are rational reasons for ending ones life.  I don't see any in the OP.

People with same history who had such type of crisis might tell this person something inspiring.

Really, you want to kill yourself because you were bad in school and don't have a steady job? That is a bad reason to kill yourself. I mean I did once watch a documentary in which they said how students in Japan kill themselves if they have low grades in school.

But the good reason to kill yourself would be if you are very ill and in constant pain which is unbearable to live with.

Maybe you should just get serious, and if you need to take some night school, and get a serious job - if that would make you happy. If not, you can live like those people in "Nomadland" movie, where you travel around the country, have a job here and there just to get some cash in order to travel more, and so on.

Maybe the reason why people feel bad about themselves is because they take TV shows and especially sitcoms too seriously. Like when you start with I've lived a very uneventful life - what does that even mean? What, if your life wasn't like the TV show "Friends" it was uneventful? Because many people seem to be burdened to think that your 20s to mid-30s should be like "Friends" and then like "Everybody Loves Raymon", but those are just sitcoms, made for people to laugh for 20 minutes and then move on.

I mean you say "you stole from your school" - big fucking deal. Programmer John Carmack was arrested when he was 14 trying to steal Apple II computers from his school and then grew up to make "Doom". Those were the days when children wanted computers which were still too expensive for kids to have.
Or I'll tell you even the worst story: one kid in my class in school took a gradingbook and wrote himself an A grade in biology class because he wanted to be a doctor, and he was caught, but at the end of the year the teacher took that grade for granted, added it to the rest of the grades and gave him A in biology, and now he's a medical doctor - and do you think he regrets what he did? Fuck no, he's glad he did it.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

When I considered suicide I came to the same conclusion; nitrogen tank. Oddly enough I considered the same thing for cheering myself up, in small doses.
Fools the body into thinking its inhaling oxygen causing painless asphyxiation right up until the blood vessels in your eyes burst. Not sure if you're too far gone to feel it at that point.
Anyway, I didn't do it for the same reason I wanted to do it. Depression, it doesn't just drain your motivation to live. It drains it to do anything.
You're not going to kill yourself. You're not here for that.

You want to be told theres hope, that you can come back from this. You don't want to be told that by bible bashers because you know they're full of shit so you came here looking for rational solutions to tangible problems.
Well, you tell me. Is there hope? Can you change? What would you be willing to do to make it possible?
Would you take it? The pain, the humiliation, the constant unending reminder of whats come before. Would you look the abyss dead in the eye and stare it down till it moulds you into a new person?
Would you grasp that nettle and climb up it inch by bloody inch to get out of this pit you find yourself in?
Well? Would you?
"That is not dead which can eternal lie and with strange aeons even death may die."
