Have you ever met or heard about someone who threatened someone else with ending the relationship with them but isn't actually willing to do it. If they did this to you would you respond: "I know you're not actually going to end the relationship, if you continue with this our relationship will actually end.".

It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
It isn't the tantrum-throwing that's the trouble, it's the small appliance-throwing that goes along with it.

Yeah, my narcissistic mother would hysterically threaten to kill herself with a kitchen knife whenever she had a fight with my (also abusive) dad. In response to that, my dad threatened to divorce her and remarry with a woman less than half his age and younger than me. Well they're all crazy... And yet somehow still together despite the cheating and constant fights.
