Aren't palm fronds worth a lot? or i'm confusing it with another part of a palm

Indeed, so true!

There are many intelligent Christians, no doubt, but an "intellectual Christian", is surely an oxymoron.

One of the dumbest things they do is when the priest lights something in a container at the end of a chain. This causes smoke to come wafting out of the container. The priest then swings the thing around causing the smoke to drift into the first few rows of the pews. It smells awful and will make you choke. I've been to funerals where they do this and I always cough LOUDLY. Hopefully, they get my message that their stupid ritual causes discomfort. I'd love to see someone with a resporatory problem collapse in a coughing fit. Maybe that would make them think twice about performing this asinine ritual again.

There is always an alternative of climbing up palm trees and stealing the leaves off. Big Grin

It's a pretty moronic ritual. Put ashes on your forehead. I wouldn't be surprised if some priests got drunk a few hundred years ago and one of them said, "I know! Let's tell people they have to let us put ashes in the middle of their forehead and they can't wash it off! It would be hysterical to see all these dopes walking around all day with smudges on their foreheads!"

Drive-thru confessions? Not a bad idea! You could drive around to the back of the church where they would have a menu board. It could look like this:

1) Adultery
2) Stealing
3) Lying
4) Cheating
5) Fighting
6) Swearing
etc....

Then the driver pulls up and speaks into the microphone. The conversation could go something like this:

"Welcome to St. Shithead's. What is your sin?"

"I'd like to confess to two number threes, one number two and sixteen number sixes."

"Very well. Please pull around to the window for your pennance."

The driver would then pull up to a side window where the priest would hand the driver a computer printout detailing the sinner's pennance.

Next!

Fast and efficient!

I would love to record and broadcast the confessions to show how bad Christians can be, and they call us non-religious immoral Sleepy
