Religious people get very little reps, it's xenophobia and religionism.

It's even sadder you misguidedly accuse us of hatred towards religious people for an entirely justified criticism of the OP's never-ending quest to be a victim.

These are separate things. Some people get irritated by the claim that someone's religion should be as important to everyone else as it is to them. Some people resent the accusation of being unjust or discriminating in a space that is not marketed for those opinions and points of view. Did the OP get confused when they signed up and didn't realize 98% of people here would disagree with them? It's not dishonorable for me to withhold likes on pro-religion/God posts on an ATHEIST forum.

Some people get irritated by the whiny and pathetic tone of the question, "Why doesn't anyone like me?" Because you ask desperate questions, Jane, and as a result, despite the question, you refuse to actually look at or address any real problems people mght have with you and how you conduct yourself.

Nobody is singling you out or discriminating against you. I wish you would stop assuming that.

My posts get criticized and raked over the coals too. I am pretty sure if I joined a Muslim website, as a minority there, that Muslims would agree more with each other than they would with me.  But I'd also bet that I'd get booted far faster there, than you have lasted here.

Outside this website most of us here, in real life, if you were our literal physical neighbor, we'd be angry if anyone physically attacked you if you had done nothing wrong. Having your claims criticized or blasphemed is not saying we want you dead. Oppression would be if our government never allowed you to speak in public or social media. But considering how long you have been on this website, you really need to learn the difference between disagreement and oppression. You are not being oppressed on this website.

Are there oppressed Muslims in the world? Absolutely. Chinese Muslims are oppressed in China. Sunni's and Shiites don't get along. African Christians and Muslims often murder each other. But you personally, on this website are not being discriminated against.

Ha, ha, "mistreated", that genuinely made me laugh. I have less "popularity" points than him, so what does that make me?

In reality, WH is a spoiled brat who gets offended every time he's not at the center of attention. So here again, he opens a topic so that people talk about him.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yeah pretty much. We've had a few special snowflakes here. Some atheists, some theists. EP, MK come to mind.
Narcissism doesn't care about criticism. All attention is good attention. Winter. You won mate. Look at all the attention you're getting!
Now stop jerking the gherkin and give us a rest for a while.

I just gave a lot of upvotes and a rep to the new guy john, because he makes an effort to be courteous and sincere. Then I saw this thread, so I'm mentioning it.

I notice that Winterold has more reps than you, you must be religious.

I get very little rep these days. I used to get a ton. I have no idea why.

With respect to the asymmetry of repping noted, many atheists are somewhat partisan when amongst their own kind. And many if not most of the theists who seek out atheist forums aren't worthy of rep. We're not exactly getting their best. Whether the ratio of good to bad in theists is similar to that in atheists, I don't know. The motivation for an atheist to seek out fellow atheists is usually less problematic than that which drives a theist to an atheist forum. Yet even there, some atheists just come in order to find a supportive environment in which to express hatred and bigotry.

i honestly dont think it matters too much for religious people to be repped.. most of us are not here for that. plus if you are religious and do get alot of reps it is because you are saying things (or are hot) that worldly people want to hear. If you do your job right over time the reps will come from people who can not deny the truth.

You should not care about rep points, Winter. It's meaningless. I'm glad you're here because I don't see many Muslims around these parts, although I don't really go into the Islam part of the forum so maybe there are more Muslims posting in there. It's good to hear the perspective of a Muslim, even if I disagree with you much of the time.

I'm here to play devils advocate, so I'm not looking for rep or to play part in a popularity contest. My forum username is specifically a knock on religious atheists, which probably include half of the regular atheist posters here. They follow the religion formerly known as atheism plus, which now simply goes by the name of the religion of Soc Jus.

I don't need rep points, because being proven correct is more than enough for me. I was mocked for being the only one willing to come out and say there's a good chance SARS-CoV-2 escaped from a lab. I was called a conspiracy theorist and lots of people liked those posts and gave rep to the mockers, but now the mainstream media and even Dr. Fauci himself has done a complete 180 and the mainstream is now taking the lab leak hypothesis very seriously and asking questions about it daily. I was right, and that's enough for me. The mockers have egg on their face and shot themselves in the foot. They were repped over and over for posting what has now been exposed as nonsense, so Winter, what are those reps really worth when they got them for acting like they knew it all, when they are now being bit in the ass by reality and their position has been exposed as the truly foolish position.

I understood that coming out against BLM was going to make those who are incapable of thinking very deeply paint me as a Rush Limbaugh type of character and that I might never be able to get rid of that reputation, even if I point out that I'm so liberal on some issues, I not only support abortion at 9 months, but I would even say I would support post birth abortion in some cases, but it's easier for people to argue against my positions if they pretend I'm Rush Limbaugh and pretend that I hold all of these positions that I don't actually hold.
