Pizza!
June 27, 2021 at 6:36 am
One of my favorite comfort foods...pizza.
At one of my other forums I recently posted a picture of the kind of pizza I make. Thought I would do the same here. I make a pizza just about every Sunday during the NFL season...a great treat during a game.
Here's a picture of one of those pizzas:
Obviously this is a mushroom topped pizza. I also like sautéed eggplant, sausage, sliced green bell pepper, and (horrors) anchovies at times. I try not to overdo it...usually sticking with just one or two toppings rather than doing a "the works" kind of thing.
I buy the dough rather than go through the hassle of making it from scratch.
Anyone else go the pizza route? Which toppings are your favorite?

The wife needs to stop asking me what I want on my pizza which she makes.
By the time it comes out of the oven it's about an inch thick! lol
Thin crust base, tomato paste, cheese, mushrooms, onions, olives, eggplant, spinach leaves, some sort of deli meat, fresh tomato slices and oregano. nom nom.
No God, No fear.

Hell of a triumvirate, aren't they Boru.
An early round of golf...then later in the day a good wine, a cold beer, or a snifter of Boulard Calvados...and a good cigar. Who needs that Heaven bullshit when you can create paradise right here on Earth.

Thick, thin...whatever on top...pizza fills the bill.

Bacon and cheese. Anything else is just fluff.

I'm partial to white pizza. Unfortunately, people around here, have no idea what that is.

Do you put chunks of human meat on top?

I know what it is (most people here in New Jersey know what it is)...and I love it. I prefer a bit of garnish in the form of broccoli or spinach, but I love it.

Well, golf is a monumental waste of resources, in addition to being an astonishingly stupid game (and it IS a game, not a sport), and I find pizza revolting in all of its incarnations.
As for cigars, they tend to smell like someone set an armpit on fire. But, to be fair, that only applies to cheap cigars - top-end, expensive cigars smell like someone set a top-end, expensive armpit on fire.
