Why I believe in Judge Judy
#11
RE: Why I believe in Judge Judy
I'm under 18, and I have to admit. The OP was pretty racy. But I read it anyway.

The thing is, it's good that your belief in Judge Judy helped you with your problem, but the folks here tend to think that Judge Judy's court isn't real in the first place.

I know, I know. It says something like all rulings are legally binding or something like that. But that doesn't make it a real court. That just means the people on the show signed a contract, and the CONTRACT is legally binding.

I don't want to take the wind out of your sails. I know you've come to rely on Judge Judy for strength and all. But you're trying to sell your story to the wrong crowd. People here are going to focus on the fact that the "court" isn't real; it's just a bunch of made up bullshit. A studio filled with courtroom props. They're going to focus on that. The fact that you found the will to overcome your desires is irrelevant to them.

There are other belief systems out there too. "The People's Court"... "Judge Joe Brown" etc. When you look at at them, you have to ask: "What affords Judge Judy special status?" Nothing that I can see.

I love this one so much that I must steal it for my collection.

Judges frown on theft.

But my lips are sealed, I see nothing.

Good to know I've upset the Tarantinoverse.

Maybe Mrs Mia Wallace will show me her trophy.
