It was a good day...

Worked for a little under two hours today then my older daughter came over and we floated in the pool, listened to music and talked. Perfect weather and perfect water temperature...beautiful day.
Saw some cool birds that came to check out the new food I put in the feeders and had a pair of cardinals stop by too.
Saved one of the plague toads from the pool.
Had a nice dinner and a sundae for dessert.

Worked in the garage "shop" for awhile, getting an extremely dull chisel usable for a project that I'm making. Spent a fair amount of time on it. Took the wife out to lunch. Came back home and worked on that accursed chisel a bit more, and got it even sharper, and it's sharp enough to shave hair off my arm. Talked about cabbages and kings with one of my neighbors, and then went home and hooked up my son's shop vac up to my table saw to cut more pieces for my project- mine ate shit (not project pieces, as there are two filters and a cyclone separator- I just wore it out) and vibrated itself to a violent death. Then, a 20+ year old can of spray paint sprang a leak in the garage and stunk the place up. Cleaned that up and then went to fix dinner. The lacquer stench from the leaking can has subsided. I was going to take it and some of it's fellows to the household hazmat turn-in that our city has, but I didn't apply in time to make it, last month.

Way too busy at work yesterday, loads of bitty shite to get through so no planned work. Once I got home not too bad watched a few youtube videos nearly fell asleep in front of the chair.

Yesterday was pretty good, had some hot dogs and beer, and even dealing with the four-legged piranha that is our new puppy wasn't too bad.

Squeeeee!!! Puppy!!!
That's part of what I hate about getting older. I love puppies but it's not fair to bring another one into the pack at my age. But, yeah, those puppy teeth can be brutal.
Luckily my youngest dog (about 3-1/2 years old) still thinks his place to sleep is curled up against my stomach, so I still get the cuddles without the gnawing.
