thanks!!! and I love your signature. my dad is an engineer.
I'll prob use it as a browser. I have no idea what postbox or Imap even is....

Using on the browser is fine, but you do get to see adverts, using Postbox (or any other email client like Thunderbird) means the emails can be saved on your computer so you can read them even if you are off line, you also don't get to see the adverts!
IMAP is just the way the email client downloads the emails from the server, works well if you read your emails on several computers, they stay sychronised so you don't need to think "did I save that email on this PC or the other one?"

Any probs setting it up drop me a PM I may be able to help

postbox sounds like a really good idea. Thank you so much.

Boru

I wish. My whole school is obessed with email. Well the teachers are.
I just need to have an email just in case. I'm not going to be using it much, but I want something encrypted.

Email is important in business to keep a trail of correspondence.

Since you don't happen to work I am sure that social media fills your needs.

I find that Gmail does everything I need it to do.  It's rare that I get spam, and when I do it's usually because someone else's e-mail got contaminated and started spamming people in their address book.

I use text and Whatsapp occasionally, never had a fakebook or twatter account (never saw the point) if I need to tell someone something or send a picture or document email works fine, no need to splatter my crap all over the internet

I have a gmail acc, but I hate it. It's full of spam and it feels like death to use. Outlook I have to use for school, and it's even worse. Besides, I read that Google could read your emails. Fantastic!!!!

No email provider is immune from spam, and I find that Gmail is so far the best with dealing with spam and unwanted email - you just filter it/ block it.

Although lately, I have been getting hilarious but serious blackmail by anonymous people who claim to have hacked my cyber cam, and now they have photos and videos of me masturbating while watching internet porn and how they will give it to everyone I know unless I give them bitcoins.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

My dad says proton mail, but apparently it's very slow. Do you have any other suggestions? I won't be using it very much. I actually dislike emails, I like writing letters to my friends or calling them on the phone, and i have a discord account, but I don't use it much. Discord is too smug for me. Sorry that sounds really weird.

Also, for search. I use duckduckgo. Is this good or not? Sorry. I don't know anything about computers.

Thank you

I can see e-mail for business reasons. But with the age of text on cell phones and PM on social media, I find it old. I can't remember the last time I ever read or composed an e-mail. I do all my bill paying over the phone, or in person. Outside that, all the people I know are lagit PM me through social media like FB or Twitter.

Duckduck go is a fairly secure search engine (especially when compared to Google)
