This forum isn't interested in a practicing Catholic's story, is it?

I am.

As a recovered Catholic, I'd like to hear it.

If you give me the website link to Christian forums, then I'll check it out. Because I would find it amusing to register an account there, then get my account banned for no rational reason.

Why would you do that?

To check if that Christian forums place bans people for no rational reason, so I can make a blog about it to warn people before they register an account on it.

I think warning non-believers that they are likely to be banned from a Christian forum is sort of like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted.

RE: got banned from CF
I can vouch for the fact that CF will ban atheists in a heartbeat. It's debatable whether their reasoning is reasonable or rational because the entire purpose for Christianity and everything it does is conformity. So when someone invades their little club and doesn't conform to their way of thinking, that's dangerous. Particularly so if that interloper appears to be intelligent and reasonable. I got banned once without ever uttering a single word of insult; I merely questioned their beliefs about some controversial topics and offered scientific evidence until they had enough and I was out.

They will also ban Gnostics, as I knew one once who participated on an atheist forum for years. He opened an account on a CF and lasted only a few weeks before getting out because he was getting more insults there than the atheist forum.

I don't think an atheist forum is a particularly good place to learn about Gnosticism. There's plenty of source material out there in the interwebs though.
Why is it so?

I agree that it may or may not be rational for them to boot non-Christians, but it’s perfectly reasonable, and for the reason you stated: conformity.

Thanks for enlightening me. I never thought about warning non-believers being likely banned for a Christian forum would be like closing the barn door after that horse bolted.
