Benevolent Creator God?

So now you start a bigotry speech against gays. Church always finds a way to wash its hand from responsibilities and shift the blame on someone else.

That priest was convicted by court in Belgium and Church does not care, you don't care but blame the victims.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Rights and liberties are not meant for everyone. Lesser forms of filth should never dream of being so exalted.

You are just trying to smoke screen.  If god was magic, as you people believe, or even if belief in god truly changed people, as you people say it does, then why would there be ANY pedophiles in any church anywhere?  When confronted with evil Christians, you Christians just claim "ah, well, humans be humans".  But when you get into a debate about what is special about god and Christianity, you say things like "Christianity changes people".  Well, clearly those two things cannot both be true.  Either humans are truly changed by Christianity or they are not.  They clearly are not and thus we see the proportionate amount of pedophiles in churches that we see in the rest of society and homosexuality has no impact on it whatsoever.

I grew up Baptist.  Guess what, I know men my own age who I grew up with in the same church who've served time for child molestation.  The difference is the Baptist church did not try to protect them, nor did any government official.  Church pedophiles are not an old story; it still happens today.

How is it bigotry pointing to a policy of US seminaries banning gay candidates which has apparently worked?  Could you explain?

Maybe take it up with the third-world Belgian law-enforcement.

Two things.  People mess up.  Even if they have been practicing Christians and have been changed, it doesn't mean they can't fall,
And then there is the possibility that the very few priests were deceptive from the start and never embraced Christian teaching.

But I'd say most of the time, if someone really embraced Christian teaching, they won't fall too far too often.

As far as sex abuse in the RCC today,  it has fallen almost to non-existence in the past ten years in the US.   The 2005 policy of banning gays from seminaries has really seemed to solve the problem.

Ah, yes, the old no true Scotsman argument.  Never fails.  If he does that he never was a True Christian.  Convenient argument.  But again, if people are truly changed, then why do they fall?  And then saying they fall because they weren't really changed, that eliminates most Christians.  I know of very few who've never done anything sinful.

And if a True Christian just stumbles, then realized he has sinned, why do they never turn themselves in?

Diablo Wow, congratulations.  Your ordained "men of god" sexually abuse a much smaller number of innocent children now.  Something to celebrate.  Oh, what a wonderful god.  His representatives abuse so few children!

I wanted evidence that banning gay priests is what caused molestations to go down not a mere correlation of reported which by the way contradicts the fact most pedophiles are straight even ones who molest boys because pedophilia isn't about the sex of the victim. A more likely explanation is simply increased scrutiny of the church has either lead to molesters stopping molesting or they have become better at covering their tracks or the church is simply lying again and scapegoating gays.

I never said that.  I said people who have embraced it can indeed fail,  but it's generally  not often and not far.
I have never understood why atheists think it's worse to try and fail than to never try.
