It's a news story and just like every other one there will be guesses made until (if) the truth comes out.

The answer to that question is: ask the person in question. Preferably before you do it. If they refuse to allow it, don't do it. If you do it and they tell you to stop doing it, never do it again. If they say yes and/or say they like the feeling, feel free to do it. Does this make sense?

Overall this seems like a good standard.
