It's as objective as it gets. It's not describing one person's subjective experience. It's a carefully constructed collection of ancient Catholic rites, viewpoints, and dogmas. It's really a great read, and there's a lot of natural repetition throughout the book, which helps solidify the canon.

My favorite Jesus is the one described by Josephus in Book VI Chapter 5 Of the War.  Four years before the war began, at a special event in the Tabernacle, Jesus began to cry out, “A voice from the east; a voice from the west; a voice from the four winds; a voice against Jerusalem, and the holy house; a voice against the bridegrooms, and the brides; and a voice against this whole people.”  He went on and on, day and night.  The people chastised him.  Then, they beat him and whipped him until his bones lay bare.  Some took pity on him and gave him food.  All he would say to anyone was, "Woe unto Jerusalem."  This went on for seven years and five months.

Then once the city was under siege by the Romans, Jesus went out to the main wall and cried with all his strength, “Woe, woe to the city again, and to the people, and to the holy house.” And then he added, “Woe, woe to myself also.” At that very moment, a stone from a catapult hit him and killed him.

Well, sure. You could adopt a skeptical (or agnostic) position on it. But Occam's razor and all. You have to question everything we know about physics... stuff like that. There are good reasons to think that hollow Earth is false.
