There is so much wrong here 

Let's just first say that Marx was convicted that capitalism was on a brink of collapse in his lifetime.

Nope, he thought it might but he was never certain it would.

He preached that Marxism will arise out of capitalism as a new class of people called proletarians who will know no borders between countries. That there will be no exploitation and no hierarchy anywhere in the society. He envisioned himself that he discovered some new form of man.

That was the ideal Marx made it clear he never believed it would be that perfect that was merely the ideal goal.

Furthermore, he preached that as proletarians arise they will abolish all political borders and all politics would stop existing. Then the technology from the capitalist society and labor free of all alienation would produce a socialist utopia where everyone has everything.

Again that was Marx made it clear he never believed it would be that perfect. That was merely the ideal goal.

Communist manifesto claimed that Marx's communism could be defined in one sentence: abolition of all private property. In his "Das Kapital", Marx spelled it out: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs," although he failed to explain how this would work.

Marx did explain how it would work. But acknowledges Communism would need to be flexible to deal with Empirical realities 

And like Jesus, Marx failed to live up to his preaching since he sexually exploited a maid that worked for him and his wife by fathering a child with her.

Their little actual evidence for that story.

 He also pretty much never worked in his life but got most of the money from his pal Friedrich Engels.

Where was it a requirement you work to be a Marxist?

Yeah, and the Ferengi are pretty much the weakest of the Alpha and Beta Quadrant powers. Oh and when Rom becomes Grand Nagus he seriously starts reforming their society to fit the norm of that age

I haven't read Marx's writings, but I have read the Communist Manifesto and other assorted Marxist-Lenninst litererature.

I enjoyed the episode of Genius of the Modern World  on Marx (on Netflix).  It made the point that no-one cared about his Das Kapital at the time, and the capitalist society was getting better, not worse at the end of his life.

Yeah, it was getting better but only after decades more of the horrible treatment of workers and the tireless efforts of labor activists. I didn't just get better it was FORCED to get better, And I'm sorry the core principles of exploitation remain so Marxs central criticisms remain

One of the more interesting twists of history, to my mind at least, is that in attempting to demonstrate that his labor theory of value was empirically false (which they did), critics of marx demonstrated that his central criticism of capitalism, that it's fundamentally exploitative of labor, was empirically true.

Yeah, the biggest criticism now, and it could have been out there for a while and I just didn't know about it, is that labor is almost always undervalued. That's the part that really bothers me.

How come? Her philosophy is sound. In fact, it's often cited as a source of inspiration.

Of course it isn’t ‘sound’. Objectivism has no methodology to it, and it isn’t so much a philosophy as it is Rand picking bits out of other philosophies. It doesn’t even work well as a synthesis.

Simply because people are inspired by a thing doesn’t make that thing ‘good’ in any useful sense.

I don’t disagree. Marxism is better at being descriptive that it is at being predicative.

For marx, (and for capitalism) it isn't so much that labor is undervalued as it is that value is created by extracting so-called excess productivity from labor.  In addition this this, it turns out that wage theft is the single largest category of theft in the us, and not by a little bit, to boot.  It's a nice racket they've got going no matter how we might feel about it. If you can offer someone ten dollars for twenty dollars of work and then not even pay them that, well, you're in business - literally.

Marx was reasonably good at both. He certainly did better than most economic theorists.

Well then, since labor is almost always undervalued, in a capitalistic society, which I agree with, would we be wrong for trying out Socialism? Not much to lose, is there?
