I posted a little thing called a link.  Some people click that and read it because it might be relevant.

Why do you believe this? And what makes someone a "true" follower of Jesus?

That article tells you why Norwegians are happy, and you believe what the article says, for what reason?

I don't have much reason to question the article.  What reason do you have for saying they live in a dystopian world?

I should clarify........mainstream American society is dystopian. I wouldn't know if any other country is dystopian, because I've only ever lived in America. But do you really think everyone in Norway is happy? Like it's some kind of utopia? No real utopia will be established until the followers of Jesus establish one, which won't be for hundreds of years from now, so it won't happen within our lifetime.

Socialism was around before Marx began writing about it. He spends time critiquing what he deems inferior forms of socialism in his works.

That is true.  We know of socialist thought going back at least to the Roman Republic.  I think you could say Marx and Engles had good timing due to the social & economic conditions of their era.  I think its interesting how the idea spread through Europe though at the time Europe was in a a tug of war between monarchy and liberal democracy.  You could argue the Americas were equally unsettled on the subject at that time.  And, as I said before, its important to view Marx's ideas through the lens of industrialization.

Do you need Ritalin or something?  For the record, you should always clarify.  Be clear.  Vague statements are worthless.

Do I think everyone in Norway is happy?  No, but no one claimed that ridiculous absolute statement.  And it is commonly known through global studies that Norway has a very high "happiness" quotient as compared to other developed nations.  They are also a very socialist country.  So, anyone who claims that socialism must be accompanied by dystopian cruelty and economic collapse must content with the fact that Norway proves them wrong.  Socialist societies can and do work.  And stop it with the utopia bullshit; I never claimed that.

And just stop it with the jesus crap, ok?  Start your own damn thread and claim that shit.  Maybe I'll join in and make vague nonsense statements myself.

Yeah I probably do need Ritalin or Adderall or something like that, but that shit is very addictive, and just imagine being addicted to a powerful stimulant, that would be Hell. I was always the dumb kid at school, my friends were smarter than me.
