I got a new, small, basic TCL for upstairs. It's better than expected, and I love that it needs no box, just wi-fi. Funny thing though, I still prefer the old Panasonic plasma downstairs. I can't decide if I'm seeing accurately or being set in my ways.

My TLC needs to reboot itself in the middle of being used every other day. Piece of shit.

We are having a company dinner next weekend and I am adding up the pros and cons of attending...
Pros - I really do like my boss and she treats me well
Cons - It's way over by the Tollway...I never venture that far anymore
I don't speak the language of most of the people who will be in attendance and haven't even met most of them
I am picking up our new puppy that weekend
I don't wanna go
Did I mention we are getting a new puppy that weekend?
sigh Is attendance mandatory? My company function isn't, but I didn't attend last year due to Covid restrictions. Most everyone didn't attend, but this year, I need to make the effort.
Your boss treating you well, and the fact that you like her ...that can outweigh a lot, imo. I do get along quite well with everyone and my boss, and just received a great annual review...so, in my case, not going would make stress more. lol

Bold mine - I agree.
No, it's not mandatory but we have been in COVID mode since I started working there (actually here, but you know what I mean) so gatherings have been limited. I will probably go but will bow out when it seems to okay to do so.

Just an update - my company party went very well last night! It was the perfect blend of socializing and having deeper conversations with people I work more closely with on a day-to-day basis. Glad I went.

Our company holiday party is in Portland, Maine. I'm in central Mexico.
I don't think I'll be attending.
