What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
The company I work for is looking to change to a new software package with conversion at the beginning of the new year. Could be some busy days in the near future.

Boys, boys -- can't we settle this like men, with pistols at ten paces, or perhaps grenades.

This should be in the quote section, but:

‘I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him quietly and forgivingly by the hand, lead him to some quiet place, and kill him.’ - Twain

The record for the longest pregnancy is held by Beulah Hunter who in 1945 was pregnant for a year and 10 days.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The tale of Jack And The Beanstalk is over 5,000 years old and was originally known as The Boy Who Stole Ogre's Treasure. Meaning also that it is older than the Bible.

Kyrsten Sinema’s ringtone was revealed by CNN: It’s “the refrain from a song in the musical ‘Hamilton’ that includes the lyrics ‘you don’t have the votes.’”

To my surprise, there is an actual animal called ‘the tasselled wobbegong shark’. To no one’s surprise, it’s Australian.

A few hours before he was assassinated, Martin Luther King Jr. started a pillow fight in the hotel room with other civil rights leaders and won.

Well I'm surprised and I live there. Fascinating

I'm more familiar with the sharks which will eat you, or at least bite you in half and then decide they don't like the taste.

I am in actually very little danger of being bitten by a shark; last time I swam in the ocean was 1971. Cool ,

You could swim in the ocean every single day and still be in very little danger of a shark bite.
