What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
King Joe and Princess Kyrsten couldn't possibly approve of something as partisan and divisive as a left wing socialist president appointing a justice.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Yes, they're arthropods.  I'll remember that the next time I engage one in single combat.

The largest centipede ever lived wants you to know it is 8 feet long and probably weighed 30 pounds,  far, far larger than any insects that ever lived.

You’re clearly unfamiliar with that fine series of Kaiju documentaries.

Once it gets that big, it is not creepy crawly any more.

(Nod to 37 - his post in another thread led to me finding this out)

While under contract at RKO, Katherine Hepburn would routinely wear dungarees to and from the studio. On one occasion (while she was on set in a skirt), someone stole her trousers from her dressing room. Presumably, this was to convince or force her to dress more feminine.

Not one to be pushed around, Kate the Great exited her dressing room in her drawers and refused to cover her lower half until her jeans were returned.

Perhaps the miscreant stole her trousers not to make her dress more feminine, but to facilitate her not covering her lower half.

Fairly unlikely, especially since RKO went out of business 20 odd years before ‘On Golden Pond’ was made.

Tommy Tucker recorded the vocals to 'High Heeled Sneakers' in a bathroom.
