She was the first "real" astronaut to ever appear on Star Trek. She was followed by E. Michael Fincke and Terry Virts, who appeared in Star Trek: Enterprise.
arguably william shatter is an astronaut of sorts, a payload specialist in the sense of specializing in being the payload, and appeared on star trek 20 some years earlier.
Shatner wasn’t an astronaut when he appeared on Star Trek, so he wasn’t the first astronaut to appear on Star Trek. One could argue, however, that he was the first cast member of the show to become an astronaut.

If you've ever lost any baggage in an airport and never gotten it back, it probably went to Scottsboro, Alabama. There's a store there that has an agreement with all the US' airlines that they can sell any bags that are unclaimed after a certain number of months.
