It’s long been assumed that sea stars/starfish have no heads, since any of their arms can take the directional lead while traveling. It turns out that the opposite is the case: they’re all head with no body.

starfishes were hatched as bilaterally symmetrical larvae just like other animals, only later do they absorb their torso and tail, and develop 5 radially symmetrical arms from their heads to become star fishes
